We looked at the world’s largest economy to find out which jobs involve most stress. According to CNBC the most stressful positions are:
1. Enlisted Military Solider
Enlisted Military Solider is voted no 1 most stressful job. The soldiers are every day on the front line of war directly exposed to danger. They stay away from home and are not always welcome on the land where they are on duty. The income does not seem particularly high for the price they pay.

2. Firefighter
It does not need a lot of explanation to understand that this job is for very special people. They are the ones who face the risk almost every day. The job carries a lot of responsibility, danger and involves life, death decisions.

3. Airline Pilot
There is huge responsibility in this position for other people’s lives. The pilots have to deal with difficult weather conditions, machine failures, terrorism and long working hours.

4. Military General
They are even better paid that the corporate executives. And it may seem like a cushy job at the same time but it involves a lot of pressure and responsibility. Military Generals have to make decisions which often involve many lives. They decide whether people go to a war where they mage get injured or killed. Hence, there’s this huge responsibility on them and you may imagine the feeling of guilt they often have to deal with.

5. Police Officer
The job of a policeman can be very thankless; they have a lot of drama to deal with. They are exposed to danger, but also they may have to hurt other people and this carries a lot of guilt and stress. The police officers often have to make instant decisions which impact their lives and the lives of other people. As this job involves so much pressure, the police officers get good pensions and retire early.

6. Event Coordinator
This job seems to be good fun, but don’t underestimate the fussy clients the coordinators have to deal with. Excellent people skills and communications skills are very important in this position. After all, the coordinators often prepare the most important day in somebody’s life. And if something doesn’t go right, they are to be blamed.

7. Public Relations Executive
Public Relations Executives are under a lot of pressure from their clients. They constantly need to bring more publicity to the company and the brand. And the clients seem to never be completely satisfied, always pushing for more. The position is very well paid but also involves huge amount of pressure. It is very fast paced environment. The PR Execs have to constantly harass the booking agents and the journalists, so a little bit like the salesmen. Also, they are the ones on the front line doing their best to make everything look good.

8. Senior Corporate Executive
This profession carries a lot of responsibility. Efficient management of a large group of people is a key skill here. If something fails, guess who gets their ass kicked most. They also need to report to the owners and/or stakeholders. The Executives have to make key management decisions and they are accountable for them. This affects their pay, bonuses and how long they last on their positions.

9. Photojournalist
It seems to be such a cool job to be a photojournalist. However, they also work to very tight deadlines and get very little notice before they travel to places of riots, accidents etc. Not to mention the competition that photojournalist face. The firs one on site gets the best shots.

Taxi driver is closing the list of top 10 stressful jobs. This profession is vulnerable to crime big time. The drivers need to work very long shifts, and not always flexible. They are also rather poorly paid.
